LIBRARY SHELVING
Library Shelving is available in 3 general styles. Shelving can either be: (1) wood shelving, (2) metal shelving or (3) mobile shelving. Each style has its own advantages. Wood shelving offers a rich and elegant appearance and quality that invokes ideas of strength, style and professionalism. Our wood shelving is available in the finest hardwoods, multiple finishes, and can be constructed in unique designs to fit client requests.
Metal shelving is frequently used in public libraries as well as libraries for the K-12 and higher education environment. Metal shelving is often matched with wood end panels and tops to achieve the look of an all wood library system while still realizing the cost savings associated with metal shelves.
Mobile shelving, frequently referred to as high density shelving, is advantageous for application where floor space is at a premium or shelving/storage is predominantly required for archival storage and storage of films, tapes, videos, disks, protected documents, rare books and reference material.
